Glen Ellyn Youth & Family Counseling Service (GEYFCS) is a community based, not-for-profit mental health service originally incorporated in 1979 as the Glen Ellyn Youth Service Bureau.

Our core mission is the provision of professional counseling services to local area youth and families. We offer a range of counseling services including individual counseling services to youth and adults, family counseling, couples counseling, school consultation, interagency collaboration and referral and linkage. Emergency based meetings are available pending staff availability and an initial phone screening to assess the most appropriate level of service. Assistance in the form of referral and linkage will be provided in instances where more intensive psychiatric or psychological levels of care are deemed appropriate. GEYFCS does not have psychiatric or medical resources on staff.

The GEYFCS service area includes all residents of Glen Ellyn and residents of surrounding communities that have children who attend (or would attend) a Glen Ellyn-based school.

Provision of service is possible because of an active volunteer Board of Directors which oversees the operation as well as raises funds to supplement the funding that comes from the Village of Glen Ellyn, as well as local service clubs and churches.

E-mail inquiries and correspondence may be directed to Don Hane. Please allow one to two business days for a response.
